What is the price of SKF bearings? SKF is the world's bearing company, the world's first-class brand. If it is a product of regular channels, of course, the quality is not said. SKF bearings are moderately priced, have a long life, and the temperature rise is not large, but the price is high. So how to judge SKF quality? Let's take a look at the SKF bearings internal production inspection project.
How to judge SKF bearing quality?
1. All kinds of mechanical scars, such as abrasion, scratches, crushes, bumps, etc., will cause poor bearing installation, cause eccentric load and stress concentration, resulting in a decrease in rotational accuracy and service life.
2. Rust, black skin and pockmarks, the latter two are defects that are easy to store moisture and dirt, and are the easiest to develop into rust. Rust, on the other hand, is a source of contamination that leads to poor installation, early wear and fatigue, and severe rust can cause bearings to be scrapped.
3. Various cracks, such as raw material cracks, forging cracks, heat treatment cracks and grinding cracks, etc., these cracks will become a source of stress concentration and rapidly expand during the operation of the bearing in the future, resulting in bearing rupture, which has a great impact on bearing life and working safety. In fact, for bearings for critical applications, bearing factories have 100% magnetic or radiographic inspection of their component parts.
4. Peeling and folding, the local combination of these two defects and the base metal is not strong, and there are often decarburization or carbon depletion phenomena around them to varying degrees, and the material is easy to chip, dent or wear, which is very unfavorable to bearing life and accuracy.
5. The riveting or welding quality of the cage, mainly observe whether the rivet head is offset, skewed, loose, lack of meat or "double eyelids", whether the welding position is correct, whether the welding point is too large or too small, whether the welding is not firm or excessive welding causes the phenomenon of stuck rolling elements.
