SKF has been rooted in Jinan since 2010, with the first phase of the project officially put into operation in 2012. Since then, it has been widely serving the Chinese, Asian, and even global markets, becoming one of SKF's most important commercial vehicle production bases worldwide. With higher market demands for product types and supply capabilities, SKF invested in the construction of the second phase of the Jinan production base project in 2021.
The second phase project not only adds the second-generation maintenance free wheel hub unit (THU2) production line to serve the commercial vehicle market, but also adds SKF's globally leading century old core product self centering spherical roller bearing production line. While improving commercial vehicle production capacity, it also expands the service capabilities of the Jinan base to a broader industrial market, helping SKF establish itself locally and better provide support and services to global customers.
